Molly Malone

Hi everyone,

This is a picture of Molly Malone's figure in Grafton street, Dublin. The statue pays tribute to a popular song also titled "Molly Malone" which has become the unoficial anthem of Dublin. The song talks about Molly, a beautiful fishmonger who died young due to a fever. There is no evidence of the existence of a real Molly Malone in the 17th century, but the fame of the song is so, that they have even built this statue.

As you can see, I don't appear in the picture, but I was in Dublin in 2007 and I enjoyed the visit very much, I found the city very nice, interesting and full of culture and art.
