The Lost Continent

Hi everyone!

I would like to recommend you a book I read two years ago. It's from Bill Bryson and it's called 'The Lost Continent: Travels in Small-Town America'. It was on our reading list back in Belgium and I was glad I had to read it, because I enjoyed it a lot! The book tells a story about the author himself, as an adult he decides to redo the trip he did with his family, when he was still a child. While reading, you learn a lot about the geography of the United States. On top of that, the book has a sarcastic and humorous tone, which makes it pleasant and fluent to read. In case you are interested, I will give you a link with further information about it!

  1. Hi Lien,

Thanks for the recommendation! It looks like an interesting book and Bill Bryson is known for his good sense of humour, so I'm sure that I would enjoy it. He also wrote a book about the history of the English language that I would like to read at some point: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Mother_Tongue_(book) See you in class :)
