Notheast of United States
GEOGRAPHY
The Northeast of United States is a region of the United States as defined by the United States Census Bureau.
The region comprises eleven states:
-The New England States: Conneticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont.
-The Mid-Atlantic States: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Maryland.
The most populated city in the Notheast of United States is Nwe York, the second is Philadelphia and the tird is Boston.
CULTURE
American cultura encompasses traditions, ideals, customs, beliefs, values, arts and innovations developed both domestically and imported via colonization and immigration from de British Islands. It includes both conservative and liberal elements, military and scientific competitiveness, political structures, risk taking and free expression, materialist and moral elements. The flexibility of US culture and its highly symbolic nature lead some researchers to categorize American culture as a mythic identity; others see it as American exceptionalism.
PLACES OF INTEREST
This region contains many of nations finest colleges, including Harvard, Yale, Brown and Princeton. There is beautiful scenery throughout the region form the coast of Maine through the White Mountains of New Hampshire, down to the Delaware Water Gap. This regioin also contains huge cities such as Boston, New York and Philadelphia, each with wonderful museums.
Broadway, in Manhattan, New York, is one of the world's most famous theatre districts. Philadelphia's Historic Park preserves the birthplace of the US Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Rhode Island is known as the sailing capital of America, with beautiful Newport Harbor.
There are beautiful coastal villages and beaches such as Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
