Trinity College Dublin

Hi everyone!

These are some pictures of me and a group of friends on our trip in Ireland in 2006.
The buildings you can see behind us belong to the Trinity College of Dublin.

It was founded in 1592, and it is Ireland's oldest university. Before this year, its buildings constituted an Augustinian monastery.

The college was set to strengthen the rule of the Tudor monarchy in Ireland, and since its foundation there were lots of restrictions on the membership of college: women were first admitted as full members in 1904.

Its area occupies 190,000 with playing fields and wide esplanades. I went there in July and therefore academic life was not so busy, but I would like to visit it again in winter, to see the snowed gardens!
