WEST REGIONS OF U.S.A

Regions: California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Hawaii and Arizona.

Geography: the west is diverse. It's mountainous and all of their mountains are very high and new. There are deserts in Arizona, Nevada, Utah...

Population: is scarce because of the new mountains that difficult the development of cities. The cities more populated have been built in valleys between mountains. People who live there are known for their tolerance and live-and-let-live attitude.

History: the west is seen as the last frontier. California has an older history of European settlement than most of the regions in the Midwestern. Spanish priests founded missions along California coast a few years before the outbreak of the American Revolution. In the 19th century, California and Oregon entered the Union ahead of many states to the east.

Growth and development: ranching and mining areas have been urbanized. Another important industry is fishing. The regions are known for some activities like fishing, tenting, hiking ang yachting.
